The Grads

I12 would like to extend their congratulations to the recent graduates. More pictures will soon be posted in the gallery.

Harry Potter Madness

This coming Saturday (the 16th) I12 will join the throng eager to read JK Rowling’s newest book about Harry Potter, Harry Potter and the Halfblood Prince. The said book will be delivered directly to our doorstep courtesy of Amazon. There is already a queue for reading privileges with Allison first in line. We will report back on the quality of this latest addition to the series.

The Changing of the Guard

Several weeks ago, there was great upheaval in the ranks of I12. There was a mass exodus of almost everyone with a Y chromosome (Neil, Sam, Mitch, and Joel) and an influx of four members of the fairer sex. The astute reader will notice that this leaves Adam among the others, consisting of Allison, Christina, Karyn, and Noami. Much rearranging of furniture accompianied this event. In other news, climate control has landed in the apartment and one can actually convince oneself that we’re not on the equator.

Newsflash

After months of sitting and waiting–reading books and making hats–something actually happened. I worked construction today. I am optimistic about the near future, but of course there are no guarentees. So hopefully I will no longer be a blob on the couch.

SAC

I visited the Stratigic Air Command museum yesterday. It houses many of the planes used by the airforce to carry nuclear bombs for the air force during the cold war before they swiched over to using missiles. The idea was that the soviet union wouldnt attack if they knew they would be attacked in retern. So they had long range aircraft with an underground command center. It was a pretty cool museum with quite a few airplaines although it tended to glorify the whole situation instead of morning the necesity of spending astranomical summs of money and millions of gallons of fuel a year just to frighten another nation into not attacking. what did you do yesterday?

Sparklers

Sparklers!

While doing some end of the year cleaning in I12, a grand discovery was made: sparklers! Moments later they were taken outside and lit to celebrate the completion, or near completion, of the school year. The sparklers were believed to have originated from Ryan’s house last year. Thanks Ryan.

Allison’s Birthday

Allison's Birthday

Allison was born on May 13, 1982. Twenty-three years later on Friday the 13th, I12 celebrated this wonderful occasion when Allison entered the world. There were friends, food, fotos, and a film at the party. See for yourself the great time that was had.

Salsa!

So what’s the status on the salsa availability? Anybody have planned trips to get some? Mandy and I have been craving some lately. I looked online a little bit to see what our options are for buying it online. The two sites that seemed most promising were TicoShopping.com and LaPulpe.com. Both TicoShopping.com and LaPulpe have a wide selection of sizes. The prices for both are pretty close. However, we’ll have to check the shipping costs. It looks like both required a login before I could get to the point of seeing total cost.

Does anybody have any opinions on either of those two sites as far as which might be the safest bet? Also, does anyone want to go in with us to get some? We’re leaning toward the half gallon size, but we might get two with the hope that the unopened one will stay fresh without being refrigerated. So, do you want in? If so how much? Any other input is welcome.
